McNair’s highly-skilled team make shirts by hand; prioritising quality over quantity. Based in a beautiful industrial 6-storey mill building in Slaithwaite (‘sla-wit’), Yorkshire. A place of heritage, world renowned for its woollen industry and once at the heart of the British textile industry.

McNair work with natural fabrics and work local; all weaving, milling, raising and steaming is done within 10 miles. This traditional and principled approach to clothing manufacture, and a simple aim to make the best mountain shirt in the world, puts quality and provenance at the heart of these amazing shirts.
